Official New Moon trailer revealed- will it live up to expectations?

The latest, most intricate, most passionate New Moon trailer to date has been released, and Summit has really packed a punch with this tasty morsel.

Featuring all of the scenes that drive Twilighters mad for more, the New Moon trailer released at the MTV Video Music Awards includes:

• The Breakup Scene
  More werewolves and the wolf pack of Quileutes
  Flittering images of Edward
  Half-naked Jacob
  The Cliff Diving scene
  The yellow porsche
  Edward disrobing
  The Volturi
  Snippets of the fight scene in Italy

Whew. In less than three minutes, fans and novices alike have been given a great snapshot into the world of Chris Weitz’s vision. The tone for the film has been set, and the grave, melancholy feel stays true to the book.

A couple of things to notice for that may be overlooked to the untrained eye:

* Is that Carlisle in the opening wideshot of the Volturi scene? Looks like this may not be from the Italy scene in the end, rather an explanation of the Volturi that Edward gives to Bella in the beginning of the book.

* The scene where Jacob and Bella are sitting on steps as Jacob explains that he would never hurt her looks like the movie theater - a new backdrop in the Twilight Saga.

* Note the figure that drops behind Charlie in the woods. That flaming red hair must be Victoria. But at what point in the book would this happen? Possibly, as in the first movie, Victoria is introduced early on to provide a sense of consistency throughout the flick.
