Wow, what an evening t5m had at The Classical BRIT Awards 2009. The event was choc-a-block with classical music’s biggest stars from Placido Domingo, Faryl Smith, Alison Balsom and Jonathan Ansell. Most note-worthy performances on the night came from stunning duets from Herbie Hancock and Lang Lang, Katherine Jenkins and Placido Domingo, with the best solo performance from this year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award winner Jose Carreras’, who recieved a standing ovation as he brought the evening to a close with ‘Chitarra Romana’. Bring on The Classical BRIT Awards 2010!
