Eddy Grant is a music industry talking point again having signed a new deal with EMI which covers all his well-known and well-loved hits, from Joanna and Electric Avenue, to I Don't Wanna Dance and Living on the Frontline, as well as future compositions.

Hannah caught up with him outside his tourbus at the WOMAD Festival where he talked to us about his pioneering days as a young musician, the challenges that he overcame early on in his career and his era-defining work in the studio that he set up.

Richard Dawkins is presenting a fascinating three-part Channel 4 series this August, examining the legacy of Charles Darwin.

The first programme, shown on Monday, was a sensitive and in-depth look at the man behind the theory, examining aspects of Charles Darwin’s personal life.

The programme revealed his curious mind, often debilitated by psychosomatic illness and sorrow due to the loss of his young daughter.

Be sure to tune in to the next two programmes, airing at 8 p.m. on Channel 4 on Monday 11th and then Monday 18th August. Vehement atheist Dawkins presents Darwin’s ideas on evolution with passion and expected enthusiasm.

So this weekend I hooked up with t5m to cover some really extraordinary and exclusive events.

Highlights of the day (besides the freshly squeezed lemonade, Caribbean cuisine, the burritos and the fresh fish and chips)!

Bobby Cobham, without doubt one of the most amazing drummers in the world. Bobby has a really peaceful aura about him and really intrigued me during his interview, he reminded me of a gentle granddad. We hit it off straight away, but then the inevitable happened and the camera battery died!

Chinawhite Rock the Polo with Cartier International was the event of the season (channel homepage here), and the t5m team had a great time seeing and being seen with all the glitterati of England and beyond. From Kelly Brook to Mark Ronson to the Prince of Wales, the most impressive names on the social circuit were out and about. We got to talk to some of the most interesting and influential people around, and it was a great day all round.

We had a great time interviewing the lovely guests at the star-studded O2 Silver Clef Awards lunch. The most touching thing about the interviews was how supportive and involved each of the guests were with the Nordoff Robbins charity, and the annual Silver Clef event.

Ricky Hatton was so sweet, he was thrilled to be presenting the Silver Clef award to Oasis. His interview is so funny, ‘Oasis’ is the answer to every question! He’s a ‘big massive fan’.
