Domino devotees Sienna Miller, Olivier Martinez and Eva Herzigova went head to head in a tournament held at Mosimann’s Club on Friday night. Celebrating the London launch of Hollywood Domino, the new gaming craze sweeping LA, the stars gathered to eat, drink and play, all for the benefit of Charlize Theron’s Africa Outreach Project.
We were there spectating the domino games and interviewing a few of the star players. We spoke to Olivier Martinez about his potential cheating strategies, and Tamara Beckwith shares her idea of the perfect night in. Everyone was getting very competitive, with a fierce rivalry emerging between Patrick Cox and Melissa Odabash. The tournament was eventually won by James Archer.
It seems that staying in is the new going out, even for the A-listers. The current economic climate sees more of us staying home with friends and family than splurging on yet another night on the tiles.
‘When people stay at home, they turn to the comfort of familiar things. They go back to basics. We have taken a traditional game and added a twist to make it unique. It’s uber glamorous and yet it’s very affordable.’
