So, Matthew Williamson has already proved himself with the first part of his collection for H&M, and of course t5m were at the fabulous launch party, jostling with the A-List. But in order to dispel any lingering doubt, Matthew Williamson has truly proved himself the quintessential sunshine designer with his summer collection for the high-street favourite H&M. The range hit stores worldwide yesterday, and we give it a resounding hurrah

The summer collection features both women’s and men’s fashion and has Williamson’s signature colour splashes and bold prints. Many designers lose their own fashion voice when diluting their designs for a capsule collection, but not this time. Fans of his main line, including Sienna Miller and Keira Knightley, favour his patterned maxi-dresses and embellished creations and high street fans can have a slice of signature Williamson style. The summer collection includes bold floral patterns and big splashes of Eighties colour – bang on-trend for the season!

Of the collection Williamson says, “I think that perhaps as a reaction to the grey cold climate of England…I craved colour and exoticism.” And we will be wearing this amazing collection this summer, regardless of whether we get a Caribbean climate or not!

The neon-printed kaftans and T-shirts would be as perfect on the beach as in a city park and we predict the black, floral-print silk maxi-dress with sexy cut-out back to be the dress for summer parties. And this time around, fashion conscious men don’t have to fade into the background, with graphic tees, bright trousers and wow-factor suits for those brave enough, and stylish summer scarves for those who want to add just a touch of Williamson to their summer look. See you at the tills!
