Kate Bosworth is taking a turn on the other side of the camera - as a producer. The Cohasset star has bought the rights to ‘Lost Girls and Love Hotels’ - a novel by Catherine Harahan about a girl going missing in Japan, and is now throwing herself into the ‘process’.

Speaking at the 2009 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Kate said; “I bought the rights to a book called Lost Girls and Love Hotels, and I’ve just had a wonderful writer adapt it. Now we’re in the stage of finding a director and building it up from the ground up. It’s a lot of work but we’re going to do it.”

Kate’s been madly busy recently, as she occupied the front rows of numerous shows at New York Fashion Week - including Diesel Black Gold and British label, Preen. She also upped her fashion credentials at the Oscar Party in her mermaid-effect Alexander McQueen gown.

Lost Girls and Love Hotels is set for release in 2010.  Stay tuned for t5m’s Kate Bosworth channel for all her news.
