I like a good mystery as much as the next man. By which I mean I like to read about mysteries involving the next man. Provided that the next man is fictional. And I am not reading about it, but watching it on screen.
Anyway, what I am trying to say is that Halloween is here again, and whilst across the pond in the USA it means it is time to dish out teeth rotting ‘candy’ to tiny, confused ghosts and fairies (for some reason) here in the UK we shun most of that consumerism stuff. Instead we like to settle down with a good old horror film.
But what if you want something more? Have you ever felt that while you sit watching Halloween 2 or Sorority Row it would be nice to have a little bit more atmosphere? How about an earpiece, fog and other real life effects to add to the night? If that sounds up your alley head over to this Facebook group. Orange are hosting a one-off screening of a secret horror classic on the 30th of October somewhere in London, and in order to be in with a chance of winning tickets you need to RSVP to the event. There is a limit of 150 places in the event, so get going now before it fills up.
There is also a bit of a mystery to solve here which relates to getting the tickets. You will need to find out where to pick them up from and you can take a buddy with you, provided they are made of stern enough stuff to take what will presumably be a horrific evening in their stride.
I’ve already signed up, and I expect it to be a truly memorable horror experience. Ooh, and the deadline is tomorrow (23rd October)
