Ashton Kutcher stole the title of Hollywood Domino hero from Charlize Theron after a long and excitingly grueling set of games. Will he hold his title? t5m will let you know, next time we play Hollywood Dominoes with the stars. 

Art of Elysium is a charity which sets up creative workshops in children’s hospitals - and it invited Hollywood’s glitterati to enjoy a night of games and drinks in support of the project. Kate Bosworth was joined by fellow domino-enthusiasts Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher.

As the winner of the night’s games won $25,000 to their favorite charity, t5m asked Tamara who she would donate to. In lieu of her pregnancy, he planned on making the donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, or GOSH, however she was outplayed by James Archer at the London event.

The object of the game is to get rid of all your dominos first. Each domino represents a scene in your movie and playing all your tiles is like finishing your movie. In an eight player game, each player gets nine scenes to play, and the first to play them all is the winner.

He says that Hollywood Domino does exactly what a good game should, “Take you away from your day-to-day humdrum, and just for that little moment, with that little bit of magic, you think, ‘Yeah, I could be a movie director, or  could be a Hollywood star.”

Mosimann’s private dining club, located in Belgravia, was originaly a Presbyterian church for a century. It was then turned into a private home, and during the war was used as an officers home, until it was finally transformed into a restaurant in 1947. The history of the building, as well as it’s architecture and design, add to the intimate atmosphere of the space.

At 25 years of age Mosimann received the coveted Chef de Cuisine Diploma. His list of impressments include becoming the youngest ever Maître Chef de Cuisine at the world famous Dorchester Hotel, where he stayed for 13 years before leaving to establish his own private dining club, where he has been for the past 20 years.

The evening’s menu included cocktail finger foods, and featured Mosimann’s acclaimed risotto al funghi and bread and butter pudding. He describes his food as simple, honest, light, and freshly cooked. He says it’s important to “Let fish taste like fish, chicken taste like chicken, and beef taste like beef.”

Mosimann shops at several London markets for the freshest ingredients available, such as Billingsgate, Covent Garden, and Smithfield. With the current economic climate, and more and more people opting to stay in for dinner, Mosimann recommends to keep it simple. Don’t overcook your food.

He also comments on the advantages of spending a night in playing dominoes. In terms of the evening’s outfitting, Gerry loved the sparkle and glitter that shone from each of the stars in the room. Besides adding to the atmosphere of the event, it doubles as a secret weapon in his winning strategy.

Olivier, who came in second at last year’s event in LA, succeeded only by the domino-queen Charlize Theron, claims he won by accident, having barely played. This year, he says he cannot win, but offers t5m his predictions on the winner and his naughty gaming strategy…to cheat when you can.

With lots of practice, confidence, and a keen intent to conquer arch-rival Patrick Cox, Melissa divulges her strategy to bluff her way through the game to win the $25,000 donation to Charlize Theron’s African Outreach Project. And though she may have been missing her secret weapon, Melissa certainly played a good game.
