October is here already, which means we get to say that New Moon comes out next month! That is just incredible. October has already brought us many things. Hot Topic and Nordstrom both unveiled their New Moon product lines yesterday. A video came out of 81 pictures from New Moon: The Illustrated Movie Companion. September brought us several different New Moon promotional posters from Summit. There is a lot out there to get us excited for New Moon.

There are some fans though, who are beginning to wonder if we don’t have too much. There are now three official trailers. We’ve seen many of the book’s pivotal scenes played out. We’ve seen the birthday party, the breakup, the reunion and bits of the confrontation with the Volturi. We’ve seen Jacob teaching Bella to ride the bikes, them at the movies together, Jacob phasing and Bella jumping off the cliff. There really is a lot of footage out there of these and other big scenes. So what’s left?

There are some big things we still haven’t seen. We haven’t seen what happens with Bella and Edward in between the birthday party and the breakup. We haven’t seen Bella being brought home to Charlie from the woods. We haven’t seen how the film will deal with the books’ blank pages, containing nothing but the name of the month as it passed. And while we may have seen the reunion, we haven’t what comes immediately after. It’s very apparent from what we have seen that more will go in the Volturi chambers than what Stephenie wrote in the book.

And of course, there is the vote with the Cullen family and then Edward’s condition…the proposal. There has been talk about changes in this scene from the book and there are plenty of fans nervous about what exactly that means. I noticed yesterday that Hot Topic is selling Bella’s Cullen crest ring. Will that somehow play in after the vote? We haven’t seen anything about those two fateful phone calls. First, when Rosalie calls Edward to tell him that Bella is dead, then when Edward calls Bella’s house to confirm it. I could go on and on.

So while we’ve definitely seen a lot, there is still plenty we haven’t seen. I, for one, am hoping that Summit keeps it that way. We’ve got to have some surprises in store in what looks to be a breathtakingly beautiful movie. Do you agree, or do you feel like we’ve already seen too much? Are you watching every spoiler you can get your hands on, or avoiding them all like the plague?

What is going to get you through from now until November 20?
