Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman is to help promote a campaign to raise awareness and boost early detection of breast cancer.

The 35-year-old broadcaster will front Kiss Goodbye To Breast Cancer, an online video and viral campaign by beauty giant Avon UK.

The campaign aims to unite breast cancer survivors including Avon UK president Anna Segatti in a short film.

Avon said it was asking women to send a link via email to nine women in their lives to spread the “TLC” message - urging women to touch, look and check their breasts for early warning signs of breast cancer.

Ms Segatti said:

“Making this film was an extraordinary experience. It was a real privilege to be in the company of such brave and inspiring women. As a breast cancer survivor, this cause is particularly special to me and I’m proud that, as the company for women, Avon has now raised nearly £15 million in the UK for the breast cancer cause.”
