Day four of London Fashion Week, and it was a packed out schedule with everyone from Meadham Kirchoff to Jaegar London debuting next season’s collections.

Meadham Kirchoff finally offered us an alternative to the body-con dress, with an emphasis on deconstruction - with layering, frills and tulle skirts - all accesorised with pairs of lace up, patent Topshop shoes. Loose, casual and drapped, Meadham Kirchoff gave us a wearable, breathable look at the summer ahead!

This trend for more relaxed and romantic shapes continued over at Marios Schwab - who combined his signature sharp tailoring with looser fitting dresses in silks and elegant prints - all in shades of icy grey.

Luella’s show of heart shaped necklines, dalmatian like polka dots, bright turquoises and minty greens was like a trip back to the fifties via the eighties - with plenty of pleats, bows and high waisted shorts.

Christoper Kane, one of the hottest shows this season, didn’t fail to surprise - with a collection based on a ‘good girl going bad’ with plenty of Americana gingham in ice cream shades of chocolate and strawberry - gingham even made up his evening wear pieces as well- but instead embellished with crystals!

The kaleidiscope of colour continued with Josh Goot, whose boxy mini-dresses were an assault of graphic colours and prints - from neon green to fluro pink.

Finally, the day ended with a cool, calm and sophisticated collection from Jaegar London. Oversized, mannish white jackets were draped over silk all-in-ones with seventies-esque ribbon belts at the waist and accessorised with oversized gold jewellery. And clearly they impressed someone - Anna Wintour was spotted front row at the show, looking on very approvingly!

So, yet another day at London Fashion Week comes to a close. Tomorrow, we can’t wait for Basso and Brooke - as well as Buberry’s return to the capital.
