Legendary Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli has opened a £20 million pound club in Dubai. Cavalli, a designer synonymous with decadence and opulence has opened the club, despite the worldwide financial crisis which has hit Dubai especially hard. “It is beautiful, and beautiful things are costly,” Cavalli said about the venue at a news conference in Dubai last week.
Cavalli said he had been offered to design similair boutique hotels in other parts of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Moscow, and has already opened a club in Florence, Italy. The designer currently makes his own wine, vodka and chocolates, and has promised plans are in progress to expand his lifestyle brand.
