Absolutely loads of exciting fashion news and gossip zinging around this week - so much so that I have to publish the best bits for all to see and be part of. Now we can all get collectively excited about new fashion collections, Agyness Deyn (when are we not excited about her?) and first-in-the-UK new store openings. Hurrah!

Hot New Store
Every hip fashionista I know is excited about the opening of Anthropologie on Regent Street this weekend. The American lifestyle/fashion/culture boutique has long been referenced on US blogs and in magazines worldwide as being a top shop for fashion editors and A-listers. It is the sister-store to Urban Outfitters, another emporium-style boutique featuring fashion and home pieces, and Anthropologie is just one step up in this funky style of ‘everything’ shop. See you in the queue…

Hot New Movie
Rumours have been circulating for some time now about a potential movie about the Gucci dynasty, but recently the rumours have been given some clout in the shape of Angelina Jolie. Although nothing has been confirmed, it has been said that director Ridley Scott has been in talks with Jolie with a view to a playing Maurizio Gucci’s ex-wife who was sentenced to 29 years in prison for plotting the murder of her ex-husband. The film is apparently going to centred around the Gucci hey-day in the Seventies and Eighties and the power struggles that went on behind the scenes of the high fashion glitz and glamour. We tip it to be THE hot fashion movie….when it’s finally made.

Hot (not so new) Designer
Ok, SO excited that Tom Ford has finally confirmed that he will launching a womenswear line. The fashion blogs have been chatting excitedly about the prospect of a new Ford line for weeks, but it was reported a couple of days ago that Ford himself has said he will be launching a Tom Ford womenswear collection ‘very soon’. Although he is reluctant to confirm a date for the debut, and has realistic worries to work through such as financing the huge project, we just know it’ll be an instant success and make him, and us, oh so happy. Can’t wait to have a bit of hunky Mr Ford in our wardrobes…

Hot New Actress?
She may not be new to the fashion world but is our beloved Aggy going to make her film debut sooner rather than later? According to US reports, Agyness Deyn (who is now based in New York) is to star in a short film by artist Peter McGough. No more confirmed details as yet but we wait with baited breath to see if Aggy’s cool attitude can transfer to the big screen.
