Red Cross in Action

Red Cross in Action

Around the world, in the aftermath of war, disaster or upheaval, the Red Cross brings hope to millions. Staff and volunteers from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies provide vital support - medical, practical and emotional in some of the most devastated regions of the world, regardless of race, religion, class or political belief.

They bring water to drought ridden areas, provide education programmes to halt the spread of HIV, give shelter and build new homes where villages are destroyed by earthquakes and bombs.

But most importantly, they work with the local population to provide the assistance they need and this video is just a snapshot of the countless thousands of people the Red Cross supports every single day, the communities they help rebuild and the hundreds of workers who make it all a reality. It is a tribute to them.
