Just a friendly warning: this clip is very disturbing. Don’t be fooled by it’s early cute-and-cuddly moments. It is all animated though, so it’s not at the Anti-Christ level of disturbingly disturbing or anything. Although when I was watching it I did kind of feel like I was opening up a secret window into the sort of messed up thoughts that were traversing through Heath Ledger’s mind before he over-dosed. I guess being a method actor playing a psychotic clown really couldn’t have helped matters.

It’s all a bit sad. On a more positive note, it’s a decent enough video clip. Which just underlines how multi-talented the man was. And it’s also for a really good cause, as it aims to bring awareness to the illegal whaling off the coast of Australia, with all the proceeds from the iTunes sales of the video going to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. A noble cause indeed.

In other vaguely related news, Modest Mouse have recently announced the release of a digital EP entitled No One’s First, And You’re Next, which consists of this track (King Rat), and a bunch of others that were only previously available on vinyl.

Modest Mouse are also playing at Butlins Holiday Centre in Minehead on December 11. I don’t really know why they’re playing at a holiday centre that offers entertainment from the stars of X-Factor, but you should probably snap those tickets up quick smart if you fancy attending something approximately one billion times better than anything from X-Factor.
