Beverly Hills and its 5pm, the sun still burning, my convertible customised Mustang sits outside the Jaguar store on Sunset Boulevard. I am buying a Dodge Viper, about to exchange cheques, when in runs Barry Fields, my Estate Agent from Sothebys.  He is excited he has a buyer who wants to purchase my house plus its contents.  Don’t buy the car he says you may be moving.  So out I go into the traffic, dizzy,  my brain like a  washing machine on full speed.  Its another day in Hollywood.

Having chosen my  Fashion Editor’s page for GENLUX magazine.  Searching Saks, whose buyer had bought brilliantly from the 2009 Winter Collections, their selection of beautifully cut clothes  surprised and excited me.  Leaving with a dark gold-buttoned coat from Gucci, I am dying for Winter to come.  Anyway I had a great lunch with Zeta Graff, jewellery editor at Genlux. She showed me her  twinkling diamond balls that she is about to launch. So simple, and so modern. They come in Yellow, white and grey diamonds, perfect, and are sold in my favourite Maxfields.

This week has been hectic, a dinner with Vidal and Ronnie Sassoon in their stunning mid century house by Neutre, full of simple authentic furniture from the period, you feel you are transported 100 years back to 1965. You can imagine this sleek house at the time and the lives led there.

A few days before I gave a dinner for Trinny Woodall, Eric Butterbaugh’s flowers stole the show. black net vases with lush red roses, bursting with life giving the party a rich exciting feel. Here I was lucky to read Slash’s Tarot Cards. The dude from Guns and Roses. Not that  I am a professional Tarot Card Reader, but I have been taught by one of the best Readers in the world. Julia Laverne, who assures me that I am good.  There was nothing to worry about for Slash, his life is bursting with vitality.

I have had a very busy week in the Land of fake realities, a Led Zepplin lazer show and Herbie Hancock with Lang Lang giving a concert at the Hollywood Bowl.  People who didn’t have great knowledge of classical music had to sit through Vaughan Williams, difficult if you know a lot about classical music, and definitely tricky if you don’t.

Good bye from the land where smoking, late nights, drinking and drugs, all seem so yesterday and out of date.
