Watch Alice Eve talk about her play Rock 'N' Roll

Despite having starred in the likes of Starter for Ten, Alice Eve isn’t just a film actress - she has also taken to the stage as an actress in the Tom Stoppard play, Rock ‘ N ‘ Roll. Speaking exclusively to t5m, Alice tells us all about the inspiration an actor needs - and how this inspiration is interwined with the day - to - day happenings in an actor’s life…

Speaking about Rock ‘ N ‘ Roll, Alice explains how it deals with issues like communism and the indie revolution from 1968-1990, whilst at the same time mirroring the state we are currently in.

Heavy stuff!

Watch Alice Eve talk about her struggle to cry on the spot.

Alice Eve , the daughter of actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan speaks exclusively to t5m about the challenges of acting, mainly, how she struggles to cry on cue. Alice tells us that when she knows she has an emotional scene she has to prepare in advance by being in a grump.

Alice tells us that she stays in this mood for days, and finds it hard to return to planet happy immediately. She goes on to say that scenes such as these, as well as love scenes take some degree of preperation. You can only prepare 50% and the other 50% depends on the other person you are in the scene with. It’s easy to fall in love with your fellow actor, she tells t5m, and even easier to fall out of love with them!

Read about Alice Eve's experience at university, and how it was less play and more work.

At Oxford University, Alice quickly realised that you have to get on with everybody even if you didn’t particularly like them, she told t5m.

You can’t have rows, you can’t get drunk, you have to play the game. University was more like a business, if you had an argument with someone they wouldn’t put you in their next play.

Stay tuned to Alice’s channel on t5m for more news from one of our favourite British actressess…!

Watch Alice Eve talk about how she convinced her parents to let her take a gap year and study acting in LA.

In an exclusive interview with t5m, Alice Eve tells us how she was very demanding from a young age, and that she pleaded with her parents to let her act. They, however, were adamant that she go to university and complete her degree.

Nonetheless, Alice won the argument (eventually!) and was able to take a gap year in Los Angeles to pursue her dreams at the Beverley Hill Playhouse. Her soul search left her ‘fatter’ than she would have liked, and unexpectedly jobless. She returned to England clueless as to what she wanted to do. In the end, she decided to go to Oxford University to read English- meeting her parents halfway. Good compromise!

Alice also tells us that her proudest moment at university was starring in the production of ‘Scenes from an Execution’ …not graduating from the world’s most prestigious University, wow?

Watch Alice Eve talk about her embarassing experience on the sets of The Secret Garden.

Aspiring actress and script writer, Alice Eve reveals how she desperately wanted to be a child actor, so desperate in fact that her audition for The Secret Garden led to something rather embarrassing…! It was totally unconscious, she reveals to t5m, but it was all she could think throughout her whole audition!

Alice also talks about the creative make up of every individual, and how different we all are. Alice tells us that her friends are brilliant painters because it is within them, but that if she learned to paint she would never be as good as them, regardless of the number of lessons she has!

We don’t think Alice should be so humble!
