ABOUT 46664
On 19th March 2005, 46664 Concert was held at Fancourt Country Club and Golfing Club and Golfing Estate in South Africa, with performances from Katie Melua, Annie Lennox and Queen with Paul Rodgers, it was hosted by Will Smith. The event was held to honour Nelson Mandela and raise awareness and money for HIV / Aids across Africa.
The event mirrored a similar event held in 2003, which saw the likes of Beyonce, Robert Plant and Bob Geldof perform in a concert organised by Nelson Mandela - the 46664 name being how he was identified when he was imprisoned on Robeen Island in 1964.
