Featuring the wonderful Will Smith as the Master of Ceremonies, and powerful performances from Annie Lennox, Katie Melua and Queen amongst others, the 2005’s 46664 concert in George, South Africa, saw huge stars and global audiences join forces once again to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS in South Africa, and particularly for the 14 million children tragically affected by the disease every day.
The concert, like the previous three in Cape Town, SA (2003), Madrid, Spain (2005), and Tromso, Norway (2005), was an enormous success and raised millions of pounds towards the charity.
The fifth 46664 World AIDS Day concert will be hosted at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa on 1 December 2007. T5M will be there to capture exclusive footage and interviews with the stars of the event as well as those behind this important global and human rights issue as defined by the 46664 founder, Mr Nelson Mandela.
Global support for the 2007 event comes from a host of international artists including Peter Gabriel, Annie Lennox, Corinne Bailey Rae, Razorlight, Live, Ludacris, Goo Goo Dolls and Jamelia.
